The Beauty of Colored Diamonds

We’ve all heard the saying, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”, but we’re here to introduce you to your new bestie: colored diamonds. Historically diamonds have represented some of life’s most special moments and events, but colored diamonds take that symbolism to an entirely new level.

We live in a world today where we value the things we love and use them to showcase our uniqueness and help tell the story of who we are. Natural colored diamonds are IN the spotlight right now for that very reason. While colorless diamonds are already relatively rare, only a small percentage being jewelry grade, colored diamonds are far rarer. Colored diamonds come in all colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, pink, blue, purple, brown, grey, white, and black. The rarest of the spectrum being red, green, purple, and orange, while yellow and browns tend to be the most common. (GIA)

These vibrant stones are incredible not just taking into account how rare and unique they but for forming within the earth but also how they naturally become colored during formation and as they come toward Earth’s surface, each having it’s own conditions and elements that result in their brilliant, spectacular color.
